Installing Ram Air II vents?

Installing Ram Air II vents?
I'm a little unclear about how exactly they mount in? Do they mount in with the "lip" facing the front of the car or the back of the car? Each doesn't doesn't seem to fit just perfect so I don't exactly know which way is the right way? Anyone here know for sure how they mount in?
