Spraying Paint soon! need help

Ok I have an 89 camaro rs and after a month of stripping the old maacco paint and stripping all the body panels including hatch im a few days away from painting the quarters. The only obsacle i have is the front windshield. Should i take it out or how do i get paint under the molding??

I also am having trouble stripping the plastic bumbers. I've tried paint strippers(wich is how i stripped the doors hood and fenders) and a D/A sander yet it takes forever and they both still leave a lot of paint on the body panels.

I was thinkin about sending to a dip and strip place but i'm not sure.

I would like to know how you guys painted your thirdgen's. I.E did you take or everything or paint it on the car. I am painting it from a gunmetal maaco grey to Hugger Orange!!!!! so it is more difficult

any suggestions would be much appreciated.

i took my car completly apart for its paint job. i just finished it up 2 weeks ago and im still puttin it back together. the windshile molding on my car i took off. however i believe to replace this molding the windshiled has to be removed . ive tried to get mine back on but its not happenin. im getting mhy winshiled replaced so it doesnt bother me. painting the car apart is definatly a plus cause you can get better coverage.

Why not have the glass pulled before paint to avoid SCRATCHES when they are working. Fresh paint is softer than old and it would suck to get a scratch in your brand new paint.

my take it for what you want
