I just noticed the other day that my mirror has the map lights but it also has a little rectangular light.

This light seems to only light the console, which is pretty cool.

Sometimes it works but sometimes it does not.

Is there a way to turn it on?

 

its actually just the maplight

but after awhile the connection goes to crap and it slightly illuminates itself every so often

mine does the same thing

it is kind of cool, because it lights up the heater controls and stereo area... but its actually not meant to do that... lol

if i smack mine around a bit it'll stop

one day i'll get in there and reinforce all the connections with some solder

if you like it that much, im sure you could mount a little switch on the backside of the mirror and find the wire that illuminates that one side.

i thought about it but im too lazy to do something that insignificant, lol

 

i thought the maplight was the larger one.
