Stripes On A Cowl Induction Hood.....pics?

1992 CAMARO RS CONVERTIBLE
305 TBI

JUST GOT A 2" STEEL COWL INDUCTION HOOD FROM GOODMARK. IT REALLY LOOKS GOOD.,...I REALLY LIKE THE CONSTRUCTION, IT IS WELL MADE AND SOLID.

ANYHOW.......I WANTED TO KNOW IF ANYONE HAD A COWL INDUCTION HOOD WITH THE HERITAGE STYLE STRIPES, OTHER TYPES OF STRIPES, OR JUST SOMETHING ALTOGETHER DIFFERENT WITH PICTURES THAT THEY COULD SHARE.

I AM JUST DRAWING A BLANK MENTALLY WITH HOW IT WOULD LOOK WITH THE STRIPES, ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!

THANKS,

SHIPFITTER

Nice Pics, but....................

Nice pictures. Not quite what I am looking for.

Somebody must have a picture of a 3rd gen Camaro with a cowl induction hood sporting stripes.

Bring it on.

Hey, where'd you find this pic? I'm repainting my car and this is really close to the color that I want. Kinda a burnt orange color. My car was originally really close to this, but I want it a little more orange.

LUVmy92 & EagleZ28: THAT Is What I Am Talking About!!!

THANKS everyone!!!

Hey LUVmy92 & EagleZ28, those are the kind of stripes that I am interested in. GREAT pictures. If I can impose on you one more time to see how your stripes terminate on the back end of your cars, I would be grateful.

There are alot of beautiful cars out there and I want mine to be one as well. My car is Arctic White with the Flame Red leather interior and a black convertible top. I am thinking of going with red stripes. What do you think?

Thanks again and enjoy your Labor Day holiday.

The color combo will make a big difference if you keep it uniform IMO. black top and stripes with a red interior would be off. Red stripes would tie in the outside with the inside better. Good luck with your ride and take your time.

I Agree...........

I agree that the red stripes would tie the whole theme together. I like how your (LUVmy92) stripes widen out as they go up the hood. I think that shows the rise on the cowl induction hood to best effect.

I guess not too many 3rd gen members have a cowl induction hood with racing stripes on their ride. I was kind of hoping to see a wider variety of pictures on this subject........

Hint, hint.............more pictures, please!!!

Gotta go, back to the Pats vs. Colts game.

Thanks!!

Luvmy92 put a LOT of effort and time into those stripes. I think a lot of stripes on cowls look like they were not thought out very well.

...His are awesome!!:hail:

The stripes were layed out about 4 different times (much to the disliking of the painter!) because I thought they looked crappy until the 4th attempt! It is very hard to hand lay stripes that look correct on the cowl hood and stay factory appearing. Ibelive thats why alot of them get painted with a wide stripe with no tapered front. I almost gave in but I new I would hate it.
