Interior panel paint removale question...

I have had my third-gen for a while now, but the guy who had the car before me painted all of the interior panels in the trunk area black and now the pain is chipping and it looks really bad. My question is, what is the best way to remove the paint, I took one of the less noticeable panels and tried to scrape if off but that would take forever, a friend told me to use paint thinner, is this safe? Any help would be great. Thanks again.

yeah id go with the paint remover method.. just test it on a panel first to see if its gonna eat the plastic too
you can get a spray can or a whole jug of the stuff at the auto store
