Window weather stripping question

I want to replace the weather stripping on both doors of my 85' Z28 camaro. The part I want to replace the the inside and outside piece that keeps water from getting inside my door (The piece that rubs on the window on the door). My problem is I cant seem to find it anywhere. I;ve checked the junkyard and just like mine there all dried out and cracked. I tried searching Ebay but cant seem to find exactly what im looking for...
So my question is.. Is there another name for what im talking about? Someone told me "Sweeper panels" but that yeild'ed no results. I want to replace them since mine are worn out and I want to add tint to my window but im afraid with the poor condition mine are in it would scratch the tint each time the window went up or down.

Thanks,
Kindschi

They're called window sweeps, and you should be able to find them from JCWhitney. If you can't find it online or in the catalogue, you can call them and see if any of their suppliers carry them.

I'm assuming that the doors are identical to an 85 Firebird?
If so, American and Speciality Auto Parts, who are local to me IN THE UK sold me some genuine GM strips for the outside of the doors.
The Genuine GM sticker on the box has the number 10124264 on it. The other one has 10124265 on it. I don't know which one is left or right yet.
COST? Well mainly irrelevant to you guys in the US, but to me £45 each.
Hope this helps,
Mark.

Stay away from JCWhitney w'strip unless you enjoy throwing money away (IMO and personal experience).

Check sig for GM numbers...

Just bought these from Hawks, top of page here. Outer window felts/sweeps numbers 4264-ws and 4265-ws for $36.00 each. Actual GM parts on these. Have to remove door panel, window guides, weather stripping pad at front corner and unbolt the corner triangle piece to pull it away from the sweep. Unbolt the old one and install the new one. First one takes a while, second one much faster.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Tom3,
I see the sweeps on the hawks website, Maybe im reading it wrong or does it only include the outside piece. It says its number #1 i nthe picture which would be just the outside piece or does it come with both inside and outside? The side I really need for tint is the inside piece but could not find on there site. thanks. http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/in...l?v=1&pid=1310

Yes, these were the outsides only. The inside has felts that are separate and are on metal brackets that are adjustable. Not sure where you'd find them. The rubber sweeps are on the door panel top piece itself. These can be bought also. Cost a few bucks though.

they can also be referred to as inner and outer belt mouldings. Tell the dealer and they know what you're talking about right away

Yeah I got mine from a dealer and they were not cheap. The passenger side one would not line up with the original holes they were too low. I had to drill 4 new holes pretty wierd.
