Does anyone remember or even have the pictures of one of the member's cars that was acid dipped? I have searched this and the restoration board to no avail.

I'd love to have my car acid dipped when i finally get the money together to restore it. Only problem is I'm afraid that all that would come back up out of the acid is the hooks that lowered the car in !!!!
Anyone ever hear of horror stories like that?

Trigger,
In the pics of your car, I noticed the last one the car is outside and there is snow on the ground. Is your car already in primer at that point?? If so, how soon after having the car dipped did you have it sprayed?

they coat the car in a clear water based film. i had the car primed the day after i picked it up. they told me a week max but i could already see rust starting too form in some places. if it was kept in a dry work area then you could go for alot longer

84RIceEater

total cost for dipping was 750us and took a week from the time i dropped it off to picking it up. i am not sure how much of that time it was sitting there waiting.

Thanks for the info... how did you get your car to/from the acid dipper... Did they have some sort of pickup/dropoff service, and if so was that included in the $750 price tag
