I did a temp fix on the shock tower, now I have a question
I had a mild-tempered stainless-steel bracket that my uncle made for his bronze ship's bell. About 1/16" thick/impossible to bend/ nearly impossible to cut or drill. All bends in the bracket were 90 degree welds.
I made a simple 'L' out of a bit of a bit of it. Five by eight by really thick. The short side has a big hole for the shock rubber, and butts up to the existing shock hole. The long has a hole that lines up with a hole in the same rail that also has the axle bumper. Bolt through this hole. Washer on top because the 90 degree bend was not quite appropriate. This thing seems strong. I think that it could be welded, and since the shock stud is long, a bracket of sorts can be added on the carpeted deck side.
The question: I used one of three holes on the inner wheel-well area .They reside on a rail that also has the axle bump-stop on its bottom edge. Looks like these holes are there for a different model. Does the T/A model use these holes for some sort of stiffening bracket? Must be for something good.
Thanks For Listening.

The sway-bar end-link brackets are in a different place. Close proximity, though. You can see the 3 holes, in a horizontal row, when you remove the tire. They reside a few inches above the bump-stop, but the bumper is mounted to the edge, and these holes are in the face of this structure.
I need another shower.
