Well, candy coating is basically a technique more than it is a specific color. It's taking a reflective base color (gold and silver are most commonly used), and spraying a transparent color like a red or blue over the top of it. It's almost like a tinted clear coat.

So to answer your question, a candy navy blue is possible. In my opinion, it would look sharp with the right base color. You would need to use a darker base color to keep it more of a navy blue. A darker silver, or even black can be used if you want the candy coloring to be more subtle.

candy on black is black....does not show up at all ask me how i know this....

i have not seen candy nave but maybe with hok KK concentrates you may be able to mix the tint to where you want it. they do have a few diffrent blues. you can mix the kk with clear to make the shade you want. cablat candy gets purple as it gets darker so that won;t help you. maybe oriental will get darker. ill see what it looks like while i do my flames i have a can at home for playing.

Not necessarily. I had a Monte Carlo SS painted with a black base coat and candy apple red top coat. It looked black 95% of the time, until it hit the sunlight or a direct light was shined on it. The red showed up, though it was very subtle. It was a nice look, but I prefer using a silver or gold base coat.

I got a question about kandy's. What about a Blue or red base with a black kandy. Is this possible? Would this make the car appeare black witha deep blue tone or red tone?
