Installing a BCM from a later F-Body

Has anyone tried installing a BCM from a 4th gen to get the benefits of theater lighting, accessories running until you open the door, etc...?

Im thinking about trying it but i dont know if the BCM will run without the other modules serial data.

its impossible to install a BCM into a 3rd gen, if you like the whole BCM thing, go buy a 4th gen and take every wire from it and install it into a 3rd gen, then, maybe it'll work

it is possible to put the 4th gen bcm into the thirdgen.... but like jimp2001 said above you will need to rewire alot to do so... im doing it in mine for the same effects you are looking at as well as the factory keyless entry, but i also have gone to a 4th gen interior as well so i have already changed pretty much all the wireing to 4th gen... but again it is definatly possible.. isnt everything??? lol... just takes some work
