auxiliary gauge feed routing(s)

Hello, everyone. Would anyone happen to know off hand the best way to pass gauge feeds for an add-on boost gauge and an electric trans-temp gauge through the firewall? Which points on the firewall to drill, or perhaps run the vacuum line/electrical wiring in through the passage for the ecm wiring?? They're to go in an a-pillar dual gauge pod setup, so they have to cross quite a distance if they come in on the passenger side. Also, where is the best place to mount a sending unit (the pan, case, etc.) for the trans temp gauge?? Any input would be terrific. Thanks.
