Ok this'll be probably the most bizzare post you'll ever read, and I'm sure I'll get laughed at but here it goes. I work for a beauty distribution warehouse. I'm also working on building an 86 firebird that'll hopefully eventually be a prostreet car. What I'm thinking is writing one of our vendors mainly O.P.I. and asking them if they'd like to sponsor my car and donate a gallon or two of nail polish. Some of theirs is an enamel while others is a lacquer. Either way I'd use an automotive clearcoat over the top of it. I guess a benefit in my mind would be that the nail lacquer cures and hardens under uv light. This is probaby the most screwed up thing I've ever thought of but I'm just thinking out loud.

 

i've always had this wierd idea of someone going to a beauty store and buy like 80 of those nail polish colors and paint thier car with that. ask them what color it is, and they say "sexy magenta" ...

OPI has some really incredible metallic colors. I think a car would look sweet with some of the colors. They only have like a million different colors to choose from.

 

My friend liked his wifes nail polish so much he went and had someone color match it to paint his truck. It is a royal purple almost a black. He even has the nail polish bottle in the truck to prove to people that is where he got the color idea.
