Going to paint my engine bay.

I am going to paint my engine bay when I pull the 305 out of the camaro and put in the 350. I am gonna paint it semi-gloss black and I was wanting to know what you would do to prep it and what kind of paint to use? I was thinking of useing Purlpe Power to wash it off and then just rattle can it. Does anybody else have any suggestions or tips on preping and painting it?

de-grease it real well wit simple green or purple power. Then scuff it up good with a purple scotch brite pad or some sandpaper. Then wipe it down good with some alcohol. If you can, try to take out the brake lines, a/c box, cowl screens, wiper motors and all that other stuff. Then spray bomb it.
