junk yard score...
so today i went to a bone yard and found a transam, only one tho and it was an 86. unfortunatly for me the performance audio set up had already been gutted, but i managed to snag a 140 mph speedo from the car, im assuming it was from a tpi 305 since the intake was pulled. how rare is this dash? i dont think i will be using it but because of the talk on the forums i snatched it. btw i got the speedo for 10 bucks.

Did you just get the speedo and was it electric or mechanical? The 140 speedos started being put in the cars late '86 if I'm not mistaken, or somebody swapped it out.

well i believe it to be electric, it says firebird on the back but is encased by the white plastic and that plastic circuit thingy, but i think it is athentic because unlike my birds dummy lights, this one has a choke light and i dont think it has a brake warning light, plus it reads 187k miles, which i kno it isnt all that hard to change miliage on dashes but for the sake of argument... also the car had 4 wheel disc brakes and was ws6 equipped and had a tpi motor and was a t topper. didnt have optional seats or pwr mirrors tho.
