Money to spend!

So I have around $400 to spend on my GTA . I would like to hear opinions on where the money would be best put to use on my car. Only mods to the car is flowmaster/tips and a cd player. Money can be for looks or performance.

my vote is for headers. The car already looks great and I was able to buy SLP 1 3/4" primary headers used for $300. I'm pretty sure that some headers can even be had new for under $400.

good option, but if you can't put them in yourself you are looking at way more than 400 bucks. Honestly toss that into your supention. You will feel the difference, and you can do many parts for that kinda $. EBAY EVERY PART. and be patient. I KNOW that you can get all kinds of parts used (aftermarket stuff, like spohn stuff) on EBAY. good luck.

I am selling a srtut tower brace on there in a couple days if no one wants it here.

this is the first time I have brought it up.
I will post in parts for sale soon

You can find starting kits around $400. Your engine will handle nos as long as you dont shoot it with a 200 hp shot. 50-75 hp shot would be what I would use.

Or other comments: save the money and buy something biggger (save for a supercharger!!!!)

superram, i saw an add in a mag that says 50 + hp using the intake and system , since the long runners are so restrictive . thats a good mod to do . You should do nos and do like a 100 shot .

What endlinks are you talking about paul, 100 bucks sounds WAY too much for endlinks. You can get poly endlinks at pepboys for like 20 bucks. Are you talking about an entire swaybar maybe.

If you're bent on spending the money, then gears and posi. (best performance mod I did outside of the motor swap) But I concur with the others, headers should be your next step.

I was thinking of lowering springs too. But im scared that my tires will scrub, there isnt much room for them already, and i dont wanna hit my nose on everything.

1) Fix the dent
2) Detail every part of the car (pros charge about $120)
3) Replace all fluids (tranny, rear end, brake, ps, ALL OF THEM)
4) Check for lights that are burnt out and replace
5) Think about putting on new weatherstripping

That's what I'd do at least. You'd feel much better 'bout the car when it looks and feels new.

Are those just stockers? ppl have put MUCH bigger rims underneath our cars and had them lowered... hell, look at the thread 'air ride'.... slammed has some pretty big rims in there and he rides it as low as he can.

but i would agree that you should either save or get it detailed and such

WOW I 100% agree with eyecandy. That is the first thing i did, when i got my 91 Camaro. First tax return, I canged every last bit of fluidon in the entire car. Gave it a new wires/cap/rotor. New rotors, with pads and bearings.....anything that could wear out, I chaned if it needed it or not. Car was night and day. After I was done, soooo much more fun to drive. And all the work is easily done in a driveway. Highly recomend this path....if it has allready been done, then suspention mods all the way. You just can't get a car to go faster by too much with 400 bucks. But you can make it handle better

Endlinks (the best hardware) cost about $25/pair and you need 2 pair.....

Guldstrand bushings are $20/pair and you need 2 pair of those also.....

And anti-squeek lube $10

$100

I'm pretty sure that any headers you see for sale the price includes the y-pipe. They can be a pain to install, but are very doable with some patience. The biggest hurdle to overcome is if the y-pipe that comes with the headers matches up to the oval shape of our stock cats. Most will be round and you'll need an adaptor or to have it welded.
