Correct shifter plate for '90 GTA
I have been looking around and I think my '90 GTA has the wrong shift plate in it. The one in my car has no shift indicator. It does have the textured checkerboad design in the plastic but I am just curious if it is actually correct. From what I am seeing it should have the shift indicator windows along the PRNODD21. If any '90 GTA owners or Firebird owners would post pics of theirs I would truly appreciate it.

Sounds like you've got the highly valued and often looked for manual tranny shifter plate. THose things are about as common as hen's teeth in good condition (the auto plates like you want are cheaper and a lot more available). Post a pic of it to be sure....

I don't know why someone would put a manual shift plate in a car with an automatic...sounds pretty dumb. I believe this is what you need, and it has the indicator windows. 85-92

My plate is not a 5spd plate, it is an auto shift plate but the shift indicator is different. Mine does not have the little windows next to the letters on the plate. They are just white and with the parking lights or head lights on they show up red. I am guessing it is correct but I will take a pic of it tomorrow and post it. I was thinking mine was out of a Formula or something.
