TA 85-90 hood on a 91-92 firebird
I'm new to the 3rd gen firebird, I was a 2nd gen. I have done some reading on all different websites and I'm getting conflicting info. Can a 85-90 TA hood fit on a 91-92 Firebird? I have read and heard that it will not work with the headlights on the 91-92. Please help a newbie. Thx.

Has anyone done it or seen it done. I'm talking about a stock car and stock hood. No other modifications. Thx.

Your confusion is the facias are not directly interchangable.
If you swap an older facia on your T/A it WILL work, however there will be gaps at the leading edge headlights. A 91-92 Facia used on an earlier T/A needs the newer headlights because they will catch on the facia when they open.
However all 82-92 Sheetmetal is interchangable, for each brand except for some differences in hole location for the ground effects, etc.
To simply answer your question in a round about way, the 82-92 Firebird used the same hood for all years. The 85-92 Trans Am and GTA used the same hood for all years. The 91-92 Trans Am, and Base Firebird, uses the same fenders, facia, and all connecting parts when the Base firebird is equiped with the Ground effets package.
Therefore YES it will work.
You can even spend the big bucks and get a Formula hood if you would like
Anjd as Vipershark has shown in his pic the wheels are also interchangable with a Camaro.
