somthing leaky

today it was raining alot and i drove through a puddle and didnt relize it but it was probaly a foot deep at 40kmh. yeah grabed the steering and made a awesome splash

but anyways i was cleanign out my car and i pulled the passenger floor mat up and what do i find a soaking wet floor in the little pit area of the floor where it goes down.

i pulled the carpet back and found the undermating to be soaked and part of it was all moldy.. yum

where could the leak be coming from? i check the floor boards under neath and gab a screw drive and it wouldnt go through they are very solid still

also i know its just water and not antifreeze because it aint stickyish

..sounds like water

when was the last time you pulled the carpet back? It maybe that the water was there for quite some time and has nothing to do with the puddle you just drove through.

When I bought my car, it sat in my garage for nearly a year because I had to finish work on the house and few other things. When I pulled out the interior, I found a pool of water under the driver's seat. I am blasting the underbody right now and floor pan still doesn't have any holes anywhere, so that water must have been from previous rains or snow from the shoes (bought the car in february)

i bought the car april 17th and driven it everyday since, i did once steam clean the interior in may and im pretty sure that floor wasnt wet.

also forgot to mention the underpadding is wet where it goes up the firewall too.

seems like everytime we get some heavy rain the floor feels dap there but today it was just soaked

it has to be just water because i dont loose any antifreeze and i dont get sticky fingers when it dries like antifreeze
