anyone know where you can get these? they usually come with the strut, i lost the clips for one side removing them the other night and need to find something to keep the strut on.
New, they are reeediculously over priced...
We've lost them before when dis-assembling a car...They fly accross the shop... GM wants like 30 bucks a piece for them.
Someone MAY be making them aftermarket. If so I haven't found them.
Edit: I've always been told those are JESUS clips... You work with them and you're always yelling JESUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!@#$$$!!***$%#
I got some struts at autozone for 10 or so each. They came with different clips at the bottom then the ones that were on my old ones. I ripped them off with pliers (the only way I could figure out) and stuck with the C clips. Now I lost the pass side C clip and the hood is a little off on that side because I bought another new strut and use the clip it came with. I would also love to find a C clip.

You need one or two? I got a bunch of extra ones, one of those parts I snake off parts cars before they get hauled off to be crushed. You pay shipping and they're yours.
I got a bunch of em too, hit me up if you need some, i dont use struts anymore so i have no need for em.....Of course that is a toss in the pocket junk yard item
i'm not sure exactly what they are called but yes that would be it. i also need the one that slips over the top which is a slightly different shape. i'm out of work early today so i'm going to check and see if i can't find them, i'll let you guys know. thank you!
I don't... I'm assuming you want the real deal style clip they used from the factory and not the modern 'captive' clips? The old school clips went out in the late 90's. I never throw anything away and barely have enough to do one car. Wish I could find an aftermarket source, the OE clips are a lot easier to deal with and don't chew up the peg on the car.
Yes I agree! That is what I am looking for. It was my first job ever at GM Norwood to put the right strut on. I took grease from that job that I used on them. I then installed the clips, and seeing how I had unlimited stock.... I would have assumed some would have made it home with me in my pants pockets, but can’t find any in all the nuts, bolts and clips I have in my little box of Norwood treasures lol.
