I just finished doing some body work on my white 87 trans am gta, I went to paint it with the best matching touch up paint I could find at the parts store but I cant get it to match the old paint at all. I wetsanded it and used rubbing compound. Am I doing something wrong, Is there a certain paint I should use? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot.

 

I doubt you will ever get any parts store paint to match well.

 

without getting your exact paint and blending...it would be hard to match it. What color is it?

 

i bet your original white paint has yellowed out since 87..
