Water on Floor Behind Pass Seat

i've found that the carpet behind the pass seat has been considerably wet the past few days when i've looked at it. the first time, i went to vaccuum it, and it felt soaked. so i vaccuumed it until it felt a little dryer, then put some towels over it with some heavy stuff on them to absorb more. after a few hours it felt almost dry again. i also lifted the carpet, and put my hand under it and felt no water on the floorpan, so if there was any left, it was in the sound deadening stuff. then yesterday, i looked again, and it was wet. the weird thing is, we haven't had any rain in the past few weeks, and the only time my car got wet was when i washed it, but i was already drying the floor then, and it felt dry. i also know it's not coolant, because it doesn't smell like coolant, and if it were coolant, the front pass carpet would be wet too. i also looked for any bottles or anything that may have had liquid the someone stuffed under the seat, but nothing. so does anyone have any suggestions on where to start looking for this phantom leak, or is my car just possessed?
