new console. and seats.

well, i got me some new seats, getting the carpet ordered 2morrow. I paid 125$ for cloth 4th gen '95 camaro seats (front and rear). before i got away he gave me the center console, and the thing that attaches to the center console that holds cds. it was out of a manual car. i think it will work, but um i have nothing to put my A/C-Heater and radio controls into. now what am i gonna do? i really want to put the newer style in but I think i will have to get something else to put in there. after i did a couple searches i read that your supposed to use the firebird console. is that true? can I make it work?

i take it as you have a camaro. IMO you need to swap the whole dash from the 4th gen to make it look right. i have seen only a few that look ok. it looks alot better when the console swap is done in a bird

ok, i am so vey confused about this console crap. i have did search after search, keep coming up with so many different things. Let me start all over and ask my question again to those who have done this before. I own a '91 Camaro RS w/auto tranny. I recently aquired a '95 Camaro center console it came with a thing that holds CDs. I can clearly see that when I took my original '91 console out that I have nothing to mount the radio/heater controls to. This tells me that I cannot use the '95 Camaro console. Correct? Now I know where there is 2 wrecked late model Firebirds. Will the center consoles in those work? If so what all do I need to get, its at a junk yard so I will have to take all this out myself, so I would like to get it all in one trip. I'm sorry if this question upsets people but I just don't understand. I'm a simple country boy so you have to tell me things twice sometimes before it sinks in. Thanks in advance. Also is there like a step-by-step article on this topic with pictures? I think that would help me also.

neither console will let you mount the heater controls and radio since the 4th gens mount in the dash itself. people who have birds do the swap since the radio pod box is seperate than the console, the camaro is althoghter. you should look into doing the whole dash swap. if not i wouldnt waste my time in tring to fab something up trying to get the console to work.
