My plans are to replace it all with black and do a 4th gen center console. I guess I will give all the silly color stuff to someone if they want it. I already have 4th gen leather seats ready to go in so I will be selling these seats once I do that also. I heard them seats with the power option was rather rare

mine is the lack of use of my back seat due to a 15" and 12" sub in the way, a pioneer deck, and a seperate temp gauge. Other than that the interior is original including the floor mats

everything is custom, it's almost finished..

everything except for the core dash, dash wiring and shifter assembly itself is completely one off or custom fitted.

The custom pedals with the RS logo, and shift **** in my car really stand out. I also have a custom made Grant wheel, that I bought off a pro driver, who had gotten the wheel supplied to him for his race car from Grant. (I don't have a picture of it, I'll have to go snap a pic of the interior with it.)

to the untrained eye: absolutly nothing. except the dashboard says indy500 pace car on it (from my 1st 3rdgen)

to a 3rdgen person with sharp eyes:
diffrent gauges
buttons where there shouldnt be any buttons
a white LED light in the mirror that lightly illuminates the shifter, and nothing else.
a small black dot between the gauges and the dash that glows BRIGHT BRIGHT red whenever my engine is at or above 5800RPM in 1st, 5900 in 2nd, or 6000 in 3rd,4th, 5th or 6th..
the shift pattern on the plate is a 6spd pattern

Oh, lol.

Well you know those louver type deals on either side of the center console? I was thinking about taking them out, cutting through the center console, cutting out holes behind the louvers, and wiring up lights behind them.

If you understand that..

Basically, the concept is to have light come through the louvers on the center console.

That would probably look cool for 20 minutes and then just get distracting or annoying. At least thats what I would suspect.

Well, the floor lights in my car are red, so i'm used to annoying and i'd more than likely hook them up to a toggle so they'd be for show mostly.

made a poor mans t-top hold because i got sick of the bag. Used an old cargo cover. As soon as I install my black carpet, I will be painting the cover black to help hide the slits.

It's not a computer DVD player. It's a JVC KV-DV7 automotive unit.

The shift **** is a Mallory Billet Aluminum **** with a bowtie cut into the top of it. It's a little bit bigger than stock, but not much. The reason I bought that **** is because it's very close to stock, but just a little nicer. Overall I think the thirdgen Camaro interior is one of the best looking interiors ever put into a car (I certainly don't dispute that I'm in the vast minority with this opinion) so the changes I've made to the interior were always done in a way not to take away the stock feel of the interior. Anybody who's not a thirdgen person wouldn't know that my interior isn't stock from looking through the window.

I will get some pictures when it is finished. I ordered real leather hides in a beechwood color to cover some PMD seats. The seats will have a flame red GTA embroidered in the head rest. I am also having the doors redone and I have carpet from Car Motorsports. Should be done mid september.

Does having an absolutely mint interior in a 180k mile car count?

Dennis, have any pics of the guage setup in the headliner?

Kandied, for the extent that you'll probably go to, a stock interior probably would be too "simple", but one of the biggest compliments I get is a 100% restored "NON" grey interior. You just don't see it too much.

....but of course my car "looks" about 99% stock, so it goes with the flow so to speak.

i like the factory interior nice and new like the next person but it isn't original. doesn't have to be flashy or expensive. just a fun thread to see something different.

I agree with you Kandied. That is why I went with the custom cover kinda set up. I covered all the stock stuff with nice black fabric. I can take more pics if you want. I really think it sets the car appart. Esspecialy if you have a custom guage set up.

You all ready have nice seats....I allways like it when the material used in the majority of the interior matches goes with the seats. I will dig up the best pic I can find on my cardomain site. I just found my digi, so i can take better pics tonight if anyone wants....
