i dont think you would seat anyone in the middle, i think it is to ease the difficulty of certain activaties not easily performed in bucket seats.

Well the person in the midle has to deal with a lower roof in the center (if t-tops) and a shifter in the crotch. What you are you going to do about the center console?

well the console would be gone

I would have to make my automatic a stick, and put a tall shifter on it, with a bend

and i dont see whats wrond with 3 ( . )( . )( . )
3 is better than 2

no one would sit in the middle, that would just look Mexi-tastic

and i dont think it would look bad as long as the interior would match, and the bench seat have a low back.

but can anyone think of a car with banch seat that might fit, and not one of those split benches, a full on bench, maybe one of a truck? hmmmm

yes, possibly an el camino or any small pickup of your choice may have what you're looking for..

I personally have no problem with a bench seat.. as long as your goal isn't to have a g-machine where lateral support is a main concern, then its fine. My old man has a '53 plymouth that I've taken out from time to time, and its great to be cruising with a lady friend up next to you American Graffiti style..

interesting idea but any bench seat is gonna hafta sit way high to clear the hump in an fbody, just look at the backseats
our seats already sit below the hump, AND drop in some more in the seat cushion to give you the needed headroom

They do make a cable that replaces the rods on a column mount shifter. Saves alot of space.

bench seats in a third gen..........no!

If you are gonna fabricate that though might as well make the back seats bench too!Youll have a 6 seater third gen lol

Wait ,go the whole 9 yards and throw some rumble seats in the back

then who ever is sitting back there can make funny faces at the ppl driving behind you

well im not that big a fan of camaro's anyway, the only reason i have a thirdgen is because i got a great ****in deal on it and its a fairly good car for me to flog. So really i dont give a ****

I would have a muhlet but my GF wont let me grow one, besides i mean muhletss and maro's go together like canadians and crappy beer. Ill bet half of you out there have/had or will have muhletss.

a rumble seat would just look dumb, besides it would work right with the hatch, and if i mount the engine in the middle/rear, then the people in the rumble seats would get some hot asses.

Besides my speaker box is in the trunk

btw, why wont it say mull3t

okay, you had me thinking you were serious up until the AWD idea. Now I'm praying this is a gag. If you've worked on cars and are at all familiar with the design of an f-body, you'll realize it's impossible to do this without mounting the entire body onto a pickup frame.... and then you talk about lowering it!

Also... "canadians and crappy beer"... dude, Canadian Beers are awesome! now i'm thinking you're just plain nutz

i am serious about the bench seat idea, I'm a hot rodder at heart, and nothing says ol school kroozer like a bench seat and a chop top.

and canadian beer sucks, it sucks really bad, it makes me want to go to rehab, again

now mexico has some good beers, if you think corona is good, corona is like the PBR of mexico

there is not going to be an AWD in the ****-maro, there might be a TT LS1and i might bag it, but not anytime soon, its already been lowered about 2 inches

and everyone on this board is so afraid to try something different that they think it is fun to try and trash a new idea because they havent ever seen it before, well if you dont like my idea eat ****, and if you are supportive, thanks

and to u, canadian beer might be crap, but we get to drink 2 years before u do, legally. and corona sucks and yeah canadian beer isnt that great but its better than most american beer.

A) im not drunk, nor was i when i posted

B) Im not trying to make my camaro look like ****, i think a bench seat would look cool in one, thats why i am going to do it. Just because camaro's aren't my favorite cars, doesnt mean i want to make mine look like ****. I think the regular ol run of the mill camaro's get boring, and everyone and their brother puts 4th gen seat in a maro, or pretty much all the same stuff, it gets repedative after a while. So why dont you go and try to copy everyone elses car and GTFO

Looking at this realistically, unless you have to sit on a phone book to see over the dash to drive your car now, there's no way you'll fit in this when you're done. Thanks for the good thread, I needed a couple of laughs today!
