Seat back return spring! Please help ...GTA SEATS
Hi guys I got a problem!
I'm in italy and i was removing my ULTIMA style gta lumbar seats.
I'm doing this to replae the old leather covers with the HAWKS's thirdgen ones.
Well I removed te pass seat and i was dividing te back from the seat ad te damned circular (loaded) spring has falled down,i mean the spring that made te seat back come upright when u down it.... hope that i can explain my problem..
Also changing the seat covers it's a PITA!
Maybe tomorrow i will post a pic of the situation....
Thanks in advance...

formulavh1:: I think i understand what your talking about. Are you saying that the lever that you pull to make the back of the seat go down and then spring back up is lose and doesnt do anything? if so..i had the same problem. Ill try and explain it the best i can. Ill see if i can get a pic for you tomorrow but i tried to use yours the best i can. There is a spring that goes in like the middle of the assembly that hooks around the metal frame work..and then hooks around the seat lever, that allows the lever to spring back and fourth and also allows the seat to spring back and fourth. Heres the pic. Hope this helps out somewhat. let me know if it does.

That spring is more for the handle/lever.It is between the frames of the recline assembly. The coiled spring he is refering to makes the reclined seat go back up.It has broken loose & getting it back on can be hell if not a bit dangerous if it recoils & breaks loose while trying to re-install it.It looks like you will have to turn it clockwise to pre-load it.It looks to be in the wrong spot in your pic.Be careful.
