gas spot

this summer i lost my gas cap for about a week till i had to get a new one...and it spilled gas on the quarter panel, i thought i had fixed it but in the sun you can still see oxidation where it was...i've tried buffing it out, that works kinda, i also wax it and i dont know what else to do...any suggestions?

it's not THAT big of a spot it's just big enough to be noticable

try a light wetsand with 2000 grit, compound and wax it... that may do the trick

it isn't oxidation it's eating your paint. try a clay bar first, if that doesn't work try using a polish glaze or very fine cutting glaze. if all else fails have a professional wet sand it.
