Spare door, need to put window down for paint?
The door I bought was on a junker from a yard and the window was up and there was no battery or switch to put the window down.
I tried to put the wire from my door and bring the extra door over and try to reach the wire to the window motor, but the wire was 12 -inches too short.
Is there another way I can try, like a wire attached to a battery or something like that and have it power the window? The extra door has snipped wires to the window motor.
Any ideas throw them out.

Its actually very simple to do.
Take a battery charger and put the black lead(-) on the door frame. Then take the red lead(+) and touch it to either of the two connectors on the motor to make the window go up or down.
You can use a battery charger to run just about any accessory out of the car or separately from the body wiring.

Youre joking? A battery charger is something used to charge batteries. You can find one at any major store or hardware store (Home Depot,Walmart,KMart, etc etc etc) Picture of one, youll need a 12 volt charger. They usually run between $35-$80 for a standard model.
Or you could just take a wire stripper, some crimps, and about 5 minutes of your time and extend the wires that are too short re-using extra wires from either door (or even some other wires as long as they're the same guage to be safe)

or you could just walk over to your cars battery, or vica versa and touch the wires
no but for real the battery charger comment was a joke right, kinda self explanitory name..

Sorry, I meant 'what' battery charger, i.e. for a car, for a camera battery, for a vibrator?
I couldn't picture having battery jumper cables attached to a little window motor and making the window shoot through the door and into the roof because of the excess of electric power.
I think I will try the strip the cut wires and attach them to the good wires method.

lmao
it's not going to make your window roll up insanely fast
it's just 12 volts
the exact same current that your entire car is run off of

I figured it wouldn't but I lack a charger. Any hoot, the window is down now. I got those wire clips, put the wires in the clip, clamped down, and pressed window down. It worked.
