Headlight switch replacement

Im probably going to feel like an idiot, but on an 89 bird, how do you get to the headlight switch? I dont wanna break anything, and i'm sure I'm just missing a screw or something simple, but im having a brain-dead day, and cant figure it out right now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, I can only get to my computer once a week or so, so I wont be able to respond till next weekend, so please dont think I'm ignoring anyone if you respond, and i don't right away, thanks!!!

well i have a91 and i can tell you from my point of view. first unscrew your kneepad under the dash amd then from the bottom you can realse the **** by pushing the release button the you can removeyou dash trim around the cluster . after removing that you have a round plastic screw like where your loght know insert through you should be able to put alarge flat scewdriver in there and unscrew but be easy with it is plastic the from there you should be able to disconnect the wiring harness. thats about it like i said it is a 91 and i did mine recently so hope that helps u out

For a Firebird remove the knee pad, followed by the accessory panel (just above the a/c and radio pod) and then the dash trim panel covering the gauges. Then remove the black grid trim surrounding the light switch. The light switch and the adjuster just pull out as they are just plugged in like a wall outlet.
