Foam flames in headliner.

Has anyone done this? I am going to be redoing my headliner here shortly and I would really like to do this but do not really know what foam to use. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

1/4 inch foam....cut the design out at a 45 degree angle at the edge...not a 90...so it looks smooth once recovered...

there's a guy who did the flaming bird on his roof with cardboard, then recovered the headliner...
I don't think I have his link anymore, but try searching for it.

So I picked up the foam and new headliner material. Are the flames going to show through really well with the headliner having the foam material already on it? I am thinking that they should if I can get the headliner material on a tight as possible but I just thought I would ask.

I flamed both my sail panels and my headliner in my camaro, that was about 2 years ago and it looks good but you cant notice as well if the material would not of had the foam or I had used a color other than black.
