Alright, I bought a Harwood 3" Cowl hood last year and after I installed it noticed that it didnt fit very well. Now I didnt expect it to fit well because thats the way it is with most after market body parts. But I havent had the time to mess with it to make it fit and I am wondering two things.

1. For those who have this hood what did it take to get it to fit properly( IE. Trimming, Bending, etc.)

2. What do you guys thing it would cost to have this done at a body shop.

i bought mine from a member here and it appeared if he hadnt done anything yet... it had a lip maybe and inch? all the way around.
so i had to trim almost the whole front lip. i also had to trim the lip up near the windsheld because it was crushing the wipers. my biggest problem i had was with the latch. it wold close but their would be a gap in the front. so at first i thought i cut too much off the front but the sides were also sticking too far up. the easiest thing i could do was remove the latch entirely and get hood pins. which actually dont look to bad. and the hood fits 100% better now. it just looks kinda sloppy where i had to trim for the wipers. ill probalby eventually trip the whole lip off.


edit: the cost was $10 for the pins on ebay and they hold down the hood just fine by themselfs at 100 mph.
i just used a dremel to trim
