permanatly removing ground effects

i want to see some pics of factory ground effect cars with the ground effects removed, if there are any.

i did a search and only found stuff about adding ground effects.

there is a member on here with a white one that looks like he used a 85-87 ish SC nose with the vents in it, I wanna know if I can still use the 90 nose, and not have it look horrible (i dont like the vents or the the real early style nose) basically what does the bottom of the nose look like without the ground effects. I think i will have to use a non ground effect rear bumper though

and before anyone asks why, its my car and I prefer the look of non ground effects. Its an iroc with TPI, why start with a non TPI car just to not have them, I already own this one outright, like the car, and want it that way, so go flame the newbies, not me

The GFX cars nose looks like crap with no GFX, you would have to swich to a none GFX nose to look normal, i'll see if i can find a pic

If your going to go that far might as well remove the whole front clip, cuz that looks bad

Definitely find the sc version...

You are in a bind then. You just can't use the gfx nose and leave the bottom of it off. Looks half-baked, which is precisely what it is.

One front clip that many people like is the 1982 through 1984 front clip, the one that came on the gfx cars. With that nose and ground effect still attached, it is possible to leave all the other gfx off and maintain a symetrically pleasing whole.

well, if you do decide to do the SC theme, I have a SC front clip, with fog light holes, and the rear bumper, I think I live about 1 1/2 hours away from you.

Dixon is almost 300 miles from alton, little more than 1 1/2 hrs. thanks though

still contemplating the idea. using the ground effects nose looks like its a no go. thats what i really need answered

i'm still looking for a SC. If I can find a cheap roller I'll go that route

Mw66's looks real good too actually. However all stock s/cs ive ever seen look like crap.

Its all in the stance...

roculvr0013 is right . the stance is what makes the difference. i have sold my 17" vette wheels and i am going to gta wheels. although i really would like some WIDE 16" all the way around with fat tires.

are there no holes in the rear and side where you took the efx off?

sorry to be nosy and i dont mean to sound rude but why are you taking them off anyway?

i like the looks of a bare camaro how the body curves down. there are some holes that need to be filled in but not bad. i have another 89(my wifes) but i can not take them off(she will not let me). with out ground effects less paint/body work. i like things simple.

because i don't like the non vented ground effects at all. I love the look of non ground effected third gens (sport coupes minus the front end, formulas, etc. ) I really dont like the early front end design, and dont want a 91-92 car. Ive been looking for a sport coupe roller and can't find a decent one that i wanna buy. I already have this car and figured if it would look good to me (dont really care what everyone else thinks) then i'll do it.

i would never rape my vert like that and feel klinda bad about doing it to a 90. ive pretty much scrapped the idea. it was only an idea, not a definate anyway. countinuing search for roller, and still selling the 90 once its back to stock.

Re: permanatly removing ground effects

this is like one of the most saddest threads 91 to 92 camaros are like the baddest of all the 3rd gens some guys even swap on the gfx on there older cars and it looks alot better I dont know who in there right mind would rape the car to make it look like an older cheaper model...but I guess to each there own maybe your tired of the rock chips or something..honestly I rather a late 2nd gen than an early 3rd gen without the gfx
