Wonder Bar?

I've read about the magical wonder bar that graced some IROCs. I'm wondering, my 89 Formula has a brace or bar of some kind that runs perpendicular to the frame and is bolted to the rear-most of the front frame members...it's right inder the front seats. Do I have a wonder bar?

Before I get flamed, I am not claiming to have a rare or special Firebird, nor will I be looking for a one-off RPO code.

Thanks,
Eric

got a pic.... i had to read what you said a few times and still a bit confused.... the wonder bar is up front and runs perpendicular with the sway bar infact its bolted in the same place as the sway bar on the front subframes, anyways it sounds like you got SFC? if im reading it right?

No, I don't have a pic, but this piece is probably a subframe connector like you say. It's nowhere near the sway bar. Do you think this was an add-on piece or standard equpiment? I know so little about torsional ridgitiy...what benefit would I reap from an SFC?

Thank you for your help BTW........
Eric

A prev. owner may have added it. It may be a wonder bar after all. Do a search on "wonder bar pics" and see.

Have a look at https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=327835 In the first picture the wonderbar is the black bar right next to the red sway bar.
