In some places it is. Under the seats, and a little in the footwells. When I switched from grey to black carpet I used 3M spray adhesive in the few problem areas I had from leaving the new carpet folded up for the winter.

That isn't glued. That's where it melted into the drain hole patch the factory used. Damn that drain hole patch and the drain hole and the brainiac that came up with the plan. Good for rust is all it is. Got most of mine welded shut without a sticky tar based patch right now.

well i can guarantee you mine was glued

on top of the drains -like you said
(why would it melt in a perfect square in 4 evenly spaced sections?)

and in front of the front seats

its also glued in the cargo area at the very bottom

i am sure of this because i just switched from red to black carpet yesterday

Yeah its like a tar based adhesive. Mine had it to where it attached the sound proofing / padding to the floorpans.

I hate that stuff, all it did was hold moisture in and spread it out further on my passenger side floorpan where the t-top leaked...

I dont think you really need to worry about replacing the adhesive. atleast I know I wasnt
