make ur own headliner
curious if anyone has made a headliner for a t-top car? thinking of making one from fiberglass. I woudl just use the old headliner out of car for a mould but its flexed differnetly thatn when its in the car and making a fiberglass replica wouoldnt' be to the proper shape. I was thinking perhaps using a couple small piece of wood as 'ribs' on the long the roof, and at the points where there are clips. then covering it with fleece. and then doing the resin trick. let it harden, take out of car, body work etc. just worried about A, geting resin all over my NEW interior and B. coudl see problems on where the headliners goes in behind a-pillars, and as well at the back above each sail pannel and under any other interior piece

Are you thinking of making one because you don't want to pay for a new one? Or because a fiberglass one is more durable. Just get an ABS one...or if you're set on plastic you can get one from here

scroll almost all the way down. He sells an uncovered fiberglass one for $125 which I think is cheap than the ABS ones.

thanks man, I just couldn't find a fiberglass one doing a google search. only high dollar stuff like hawks and what not. and gotta try to save money somehow. and learn at the same time. I want to try to incorperate a flip down dvd screen if I get a fiberglass one. add material to it somewhat and mould it to the shape of the deck(small one) and then smooth it out, and paint it the same color as the car, but have a piece which just have a piece of fabric on it..... just to change up the color and materials a bit really, no purpose.
