Saturn Switch Questions
I know that there are Saturn power window switches that you can use as part of a 4th gen console swap, and that are supposedly cool because they fit right in the stock harness, have a little led in them, and a DS express down feature. However, I dont know exactly which kind of Saturn they come from. The pics I have found of them after doing a search on here are pretty low-quality, grainy pics. Can someone post a clear pic of the top and bottom of one of these switches, and let me know what kind of Saturn in comes from, and from what years? I was going to use Contour switches like deadbird had done, but having to rewire them scares me a bit because I don't exactly know how to do it. A plug-and-play switch would be much easier.
Thanks for any help you can give me with this.

I looked all around for those stupid things. From what I heard, they come from early 90's 2 door saturns. So I went off to the junkyard to find some, and when I found a Saturn with the console intact, they were really messed up looking. Not plug and play at all, and they were even connected in the middle.
Then I got a job at a car dealership over the summer. I drove a LOT of customer cars, including a WHOLE LOT of j-bodies (cavalier/sunfire). Those cars (circa mid-late 90's) have switches that look like they would be way easier to install. I even took a look at the back side in one car, and yep. Pretty simple indeed.

Oh, great, as if I wasn't having a hard enough time deciding which switches to buy, now you are throwing another option out there!
I actually already bought the Contour switches and harnesses, but ugh, I hate figuring out wiring.
Yeah, those are the Contour pieces I bought from a guy who had them posted on Ebay. And that picture is kind of embarrassing...that wood template was like a rough draft, I will be making a more perfect one when I actually do the install!
I'll post a pic of the harness on those Contour pieces so you can see what they look like out back.
I'll also do a search for the Cavalier/Sunbird units...got any pics of them already?

Member deadbird actually has used the Contour switches. He even hooked me up with a decsription of what wire on the thirdgen harness shoul go to which wire on the Contour switch. But, my switches are a bit different than his, as they have different color wires and extra wires for the LEDs, and so I started tweaking out and looking for an easier solution.

Heh. Didnt mean to complicate things further. Well I don't have a pic of the J-body ones, but I will look.
As an interesting side note, I also found out that the newer Silverados have autodown and autoUP switches. $400 bucks for a set from GM though.
