IROC Wheels

Can I put 88 IROC wheels on my 88 that came with 15" wheels? I know it will throw off the speedometer a little bit but otherwise do I need spacers or will I have other problems? I appreciate the advice.

Yes. No spacers needed.

If you install them with 245/50/16 tires they shouldn't throw off the speedometer.

Original tires would have been 215x65 series that were about the same diameter as the 245x50 on the IROCs. For a better ride and still good looks you can go with a 225x60 and still have a pretty close speedometer.

From what I have seen through various calculators the speedometer would not be off by a lot. Just not sure if I want to make the purchase or not. I was thinking with the larger wheels I could also get rid of my whimpy one piston front calipers. One problem, it all costs $$$$.

Actually with a 225/60 you would be running a 1" taller tire than if you went with the 245/50. Doesn't look to good at all to me. The speedo would be off by about 4% too slow.
