Questions about swapping from 90 nose to 91-92 nose

Just like the subject says, I was wanting to swap over from my current 90 nose and go to the tear-drop 91-92 nose, I was wanting to know If it was a easy swap or not, I notice I would have to re-locate the turn signals, but my question is will the hood still work? I also noticed the headlamps look different, would my lamps still work as well? Do I have to replace the egg crate behind the bumper too?

All help appreciated

Well i have a 91 and i messed around with a older TA nose to see how it would fit. They will fit but the holes on the bumper itself did not, and the fender lines were not the same. You would also want to check the lines if you have Gfxs or not. As far has the headlights, they both seemed to be identical except the frame that houses the light itself. On the TA bumper ( pretty sure same on the formula ) the headlight didnt sit all the way down against the bumper so it has a extra chunk of plastic on it for the gap. The honeycomb crap behind the bumper is different and you will need that also, since thats is the frame and wil lhave the turnsignal lights on it anyways.

I think the nose should bolt on ok. There are a few people ho have done it....buuuttt

1. The headlamp bezels are different (black plastic)
2. The hadlamps themselves are different (considerably smaller)
3. The 91 noses have the turn signals and fog lights mounted in the front impact bar
4. The older models don't have holes in the impact bar for the turns/fogs
5. I personally noticed that on the V-6 cars, the metal line (part of tranny cooler??) that goes under the radiator area is located more forward to get more air I guess
6. Honey comb/egg crate (hmmm...that's a good name for it lol) is way different apparently

Anyway, hope this helps!
