The linkage is disconnected i suspect as when i pul on the handle from either outside or inside it doesnt open and it feels like there is nothing connected. How will i be able to get access to the linkage if i cant open the door to take the panel off?

 

Ok nevermind I got it open, the inside handle is busted.

 

You said that the door handle was broken. was it the interior handle? if so where did you find a new one? I have the same problem.
