Custom Interior Ideas (ANY)

I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I have done alot of research and came up pretty much empty because I Realized I am going to keep my Camaro till the day I die and want to do something about modernizing the look of the interior. Anyone see why I couldnt make a single piece center console that flows up into the radio area? Anyone have any good ideas in general or tips? Im thinking of something along the lines of the ones below.

I know this doesnt help you, but sanding/painting surfaces in these cars really modernizes them in my opinion. Ive been doing this to the bird lately and it doesnt even look ***** to me, It seriously leaves the 80's design which I love about it, but it modernizes it.....if that makes sense......

Experiment, ive been doing that lately....sometimes you run into what you like by accident.

Well heres my car for reference, http://www.cardomain.com/ride/756169.

I know the interior is already nice but I plan on starting with the guage bezel and waiting a while to do the center console since it in very good condition now. I just want to modernize the interior but dont know where to begin. If I did the guage bezel and steering wheel for start should I do black, body color, or polished look? Have any pics?

Ill take some pics of what I started this weekend and post them here...

But to sum it up....I used duplicolor rim refinish spray....it has metallic bits in it and shines real nice when the sun hits it....but for everyday driving it doesnt shine enough to blind you like polished would. take a look at the duplicolor site and look at the product I described and others, they even show what you can do with them

Little things make a BIG diffrenence....shift ****, get a billit one....when it comes to the dash etc....id say paint/cover in a lighter color to contrast.....my interior was dark too....with grey accents here and there.....so the color I have been using is a light silver to contrast with other portions, even white gauges would look pretty good in your car
