As far as I know, they're all interchangable. I replaced one in my 85 z28 with one from a 92 RS.

Many different ones form other GM vehicles will interchange with our cars. The front ones in my Formula are from an 03 Cavalier.

i do know that the receivers from a 4th gen f-body will not be compatible with a 3rd gen car. I'm thinking that most GM cars made in the same years will have the same latch plate style, but you also have to be sure they are approx. the right length. It isn't too hard to find some decent ones from a 3rd gen, but mint or near mont condition are tough to find.
