Interior pieces have been Painted Black

I recently painted some of my interior plastic parts black using VHT satin black plastic paint. I changed my guage trim from grey to black so it matches the rest of the dash and i think the contrast with my polished aluminum trim rings will be improved. I also got a set of 1982 door sills and painted them black. This year door sill will match my 4th gen seatbelts perfectly because they were designed to have a bolt rather than a retractor on the bottom. Let me know what you think! Here are the before and afters:

After (the flash makes it look a bit lighter):

was there any sanding involved or did you just clean them up a bit and spray em?

I got the paint from a local performance automotive store. I'm not sure of any chains that would carry it. The can states that if you're going from a dark to light color, there is a dark primer they suggest. I didn't use a primer since it was already a dark color going to black. I did however clean the parts very well before painting. I mixed dish soap with hot water and scrubbed the parts very well using a small nylon bristled brush. Then rinsed them well and was sure not to handle the surfaces that were painted so I didn't get any oils on the parts. I applied about 5-8 thin coats using the method described on the can.

The real test will be how they hold up over time, but so far the finish appears to be durable.
