Windshield Removal?
does any one have any good ideas to remove the windshield with out breaking it, and then putting it back on? i have a huge spot that's rusted and the windshield needs removed to repair it. i bought a windshield remover tool from the store, but haven't done it before.. any help?
I used piano wire for about 4 hours off and on with a friend....still ended up cracking it...if you have alot of time and patience, go for it...but id rather just get glass coverage on the insurance and have them worry about it...

i just took a brake cable from a bike ... well a few of them and poked it through and pulled it back and forth with the help of a freind....... brake cable at any bycle shop is 95 cents or see if they got some junk ones laying around.
i tried just yesterday to remove my windshield. i tried soo hard ! not to break it. i read here on the forums all of the tips and tricks. got 1/2 way and one tiny chip and that was it. and besides throwing a hub from a 4x4 through the window is way more fun!
