Mirror switch idea for 4th gen consoles

I was going to do this but am now going to end up not using the 3rd gen door panels. This wont work with the 90-92 panels i believe.

You will have to relocate the wires to the driver's door panel, use a 95 z28 switch, figure out the wiring, do a little drilling off of the plastic inside to get the switch to fit. This plastic piece is from a car that had manual mirrors.

Check out the pics here: http://community.webshots.com/album/548435495cKbgqm

This could also work for about anyone who is converting their thirdgen to power mirrors and don't want to have the switch in the center console.

I used that switch back in 2000 but I could never get the right combo of wires to work the mirrors right.

Do you have the wiring color code conversion for the switch to work?

Zepher, if you decide to go with a 4th gen Firebird switch instead of that Camaro one, I am pretty sure I wrote down how to wire it when I installed mine a few months back.

Let me know.
