what color interior will it have?

 

Dark Grey w/ 4thgen seats. Im thinking about getting everything done in leather?

 

i would go with tan or black if you want leather. grey leather doesnt look that good. makes me think of a grand marquis interior or something

Found some cancer.

I had some similar rust around my t-tops when I started removing the weatherstripping.

 

How did you fix it?

 

mine wasnt anywhere near rusting through the entire lip... are you sure yours is?

If it is, your probably going to need some new metal welded in.

On mine, Im going to sand blast it to clean out the rust

are you sure you want to go with chrome wheels on a white car?

 

car looks real good. im lookin for a nice vert to add to my collection. it looks like you added a lil bit of frame stiffenig too. whats with the bars goin over the strut mounts and down to the front of the rails, and across the firewall? is it for frame stiffening or is somethin else i cant figure out? any way looks real good cant wait to see it finished, i remember when i did this to my car. lots of work.

Those "bars" are actually the windsheild header gasket. haha I have it laying on the engine bay right now. Although I would love to tighten up the chassis. Mabey that would get rid of a few squeaks & rattles.

 

what tools did you use during the preparation?? I dont see any air lines.

Mostly sanding blocks & biceps. I did use an electric random orbital sander in the very begining to get the rough sanding done. It was a cheap one... But it did its job and it is still working.

 

just want to make sure, but the electric random orbital sander is the round one right? Have any pics of that tool by any chance?

Yeah.. Its round. If you go to the first page of pictures, you see it in a few of them. Look for a big bright orange tool. Thats it. Im not sure which link you are talking about... But the one in my sig should work. Try it again.
