Transmission: TH-700-R4
Axle/Gears: 10 bolt with 3.23's and SLP Posi.
Removing Hatch Panel from Hatch Glass?
What have you found to be the best way to do it? i have it unbolted, just have what looks to be an entire tube of clear silicone sealant holding it on. any tips? i've hit a wall

The only thing that should be between them is a fairly useless foam gasket. If it's got any sort of caulk or adhesive that somebody put in there, you'll have to pry carefully. If you can reach a razor blade up there, you may be able to try cutting the stuff partially to make it easier to pry.

it just deosnt seem to want to pry off. it looks like someone used a full 12 oz tube of silicone on it

when i pulled the hatch off my parts car there was windshield adhesive holding it to the glass, i used a heat gun and some patience and it came off.

another question, somewhat unrelated, there are a few fine scratches in the glass, can those be removed?

There is an asphalt type seal on the deck/glass similar to what is used on front windshields.You can somewhat see it here...

Start at a corner, pry gently and shove a wedge in between the glass and deck as you go. Heat will make things easier.
Eastwood sells a glass polishing kit for taking minor scratches out of glass.
