Flame Red Metallic is the Darker of the two reds released every year. The red camaros most of us see are "bright red." My camaro (in sig below) is Flame Red Metallic. Here's a list of 1989 paint codes:


1989...23 - WA 9537...Light Blue
1989...40 - WA 8554...White
1989...41 - WA 8555...Black
1989...74 - WA 9535...Dark Red
1989...81 - WA 8774...Bright Red
1989...87 - WA 9243...Medium Gray
1989...98 - WA 9591...Bright Blue

make sure you DO NOT put the lower pinstripes back on
