Engine or Body? First
In california looks are everything especially in socal, Im getting some money back from the government for taxes What would you do with this money? engine or body work??? Im want to save up for a LT1 but my body is such in bad shape, I need a new hood, new passanger fender, new front ground effect, new front bumper cover. I always drive my car around and it looks like it belongs in compton or something :-p what would you do?

Car: '87 Trans-Am
Engine: LB9 (305 TPI)
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.42 or 3.73..figuring it out still
If the engine runs fairly well and is reliable enough to put off rebuilding for a while til you can save again, I guess it is up to you. I always do drivetrain first, then body, and interior last. Im usually after reliable transportation above all else, looks last. But if the motor runs strong and youre not constantly having to jump it off or monkey with it just to keep her running, then I dont see why you couldnt do the bodywork first.

with the fact that the engine light comes on and the engine clicks and clicks and clicks and clicks and clicks a few more times every time I turn the ignition key and sometimes acts wierd and the car turns off and I try turning it back on but it automatically turns off (this happends at random times), and thats about the only problems I have with this car.. other than that its pretty relaible :-p so Im still debating
