interior sail panel/speaker panel question
I bought a new headlner, visors and sail/speaker panels. They went in great but the panel for over the speakers only had the hole for the top screw to hold it on, no clips like the originals had. The manufacturer supplied some velco fasteners to secure the bottom of it but so far, after two applications, no dice on this thing sticking to the vinyl panels.
Anyone else have this problem? If so, what did you do to fix it? I am thinking of installing small screws around the outside edge of the panel to hold it in place. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Brad

It's not as much a problem getting it to stick to the sail panel as the main interior panel. I've not tried hot glue, that may just work. I'll give it a try. Thanks!

Just make sure you scuff the area first, or the glue won't stick to the plastic panel.
Oh... clean it with carb cleaner or mineral spirits to make sure there's no armor-all there, although since that spot is under the old panel, it's not likely theres anything there anyway.
If the hot glue doesn't hold up to the summer heat, get super glue or 2-part epoxy and you'll be in good shape.

Thanks Jim, I'll give that a try. After several packages of industrial Velcro, it's getting a bit discouraging! Again, thanks!
