I have a 84 ttop coupe with auto and tilt. I am installing the original steering wheel on the car as it came with an aftermarket that was installed improperly and the turn signals would not cancel and the horn did not work. Well i went to Chevy dealer and got the canceling cam # 26047013 and the contact pin # 474102. The problem I am having is the contact pin does not reach the horn contact in the steering wheel, every thing works as I have tested it except once you install the steering wheel the contact can’t touch the contact pin therefore the horn does not work. I included a couple of pictures. Also if the small springs in the steering column wiring harness ever break you do not have to replace the harness GM sells the spring’s separate # 1964784/5.
Also the car is for sale 84 ttop coupe 305 TBI auto a/c with a 15" Z wheels and a Thumper Stereo
Thanks

If memory serves, theres small nipples on the plastic piece on the back of the horn button
Just push em in and twist, the nipples will lock keeping a small tension on the spring and spring keeping contact to the column
If ya still cant get it right, Id use a knife to cut the niplles off and hotglue the thing in there at the correct depth
Hotglue cuz you can 'encourage' it back out if you ever remove it again
