NORMAL: Wheels are click when rocked??

My 1992 Camaro's has a very strange problem.

If I grab ANY of the wheels from the side and rock from SIDE to SIDE, there is a loud CLICKING / KOCKING.

Grasp the TOP of the wheel and rock it up and down and it's silent.

Mechanics say the bearing are worn?? Yet ALL 4 wheels??

and on the rear are you actually hearing the axle hitting the pin or the c clips on the diff housing...if so thats normal also....if you get your car inspected they can tell if its a worn bearing or a lose nut on the frt tho....i know i tightend up my frt spindle nut one cotter pin turn and put the pin in and it was better. My mech told me i should tho...and the wheel/rotor still moved freely after so it wasnt to snug.
just incase you should also retorque your wheels lug nuts...alum wheels sometimes let nuts back off abit.
